This 8-day movement cuckoo clock by Adolf Herr represents a typical Black Forest house. At first sight, it is noticeable a sloping decreased roof, wider than usual. At the top of the clock is a cuckoo bird that appears once on the half-hour and on the full hour according to the time. Meanwhile, surrounded by animals and trees, the woodcutter chops his wood.
The water wheel starts to move while the song plays. Every hour one of two melodies will play – Edelweiss and Happy Wanderer. At the same time, the inevitable dancers in traditional costumes dance around until the music stops. Roman numerals and white fine hands make a great contrast to a smooth wooden base. Dimensions: 18-1/2″H x 15-3/4″W x 9″D. Weight: 10 kg
